My 2000 Mustang GT convertible...
Bought brand new and still having only 14000 miles on it, this is my first "new" car, though not my first Mustang. I had a '79 Mustang GT as my first car, back in 1986. Been a Mustang guy ever since though once I got rid of that 'ol 'stang, it took me until 2000 to get another one...
The '00 has some minor modifications that have let me get right down to a 14.0/99mph flat in the quarter mile. That's not particularly impressive as car enthusiasts will note, but, for a car that's stock #'s are 14.5 and 94 mph in the quarter, it's not bad.
The mods-to-date on the '00 are:
Bassani X-Pipe (with cats)
Bassani cat-back exhaust
3.73 rear gear ratio
Steeda Tri-Ax shifter
Nitto Drag Radial 275/45s
My '86 GT T-Roof(Project car...)
Bought this one during the summer as a combination "winter car" and "project car." It's in fair shape, a few dings I'll have to fill and some spots where the paint's worn thin enough to start a little surface rust. Once that's all filled/sanded/primed, I'll get the exterior repainted something nice. Rest of the project is to replace the front suspension and springs/shocks/struts. Once that's done, it'll be time to drop in a new motor. I think I'm going to go for a 383 stroker motor in there, but that's probably 2 years down the road so I have a lot of time to think it over!
The only mods on the 86 are a set of welded-in subframe connectors.
